Camping Trip
This weekend Matt and I decided it was time to take our first camping trip as a married couple. We had plans at the beginning of the summer to go to Yellowstone National Park, but life just got too busy for us to do it. We decided before it got too cold here we should just go camping in American Fork Canyon. So we invited Matt's friend Levin and his little girl Ansley to go with us. When we got there we set up our tent and got a fire started (we cheated with lighter fluid). We then ate some yummy steak, soda, chips, and smores of course. We were surprised that Levins little girl Ansley loved the steak and ate an adult sized portion. We called her the little carnivore. So cute! Then we all chatted around the campfire. Sleeping in the tent wasn't too bad, but Matt and I got a little cold. Matt wasn't used to being cold while camping because he is from Arizona so Utah camping was quite a shock for him. Maybe next time we will buy warmer sleeping bags! In the morning we got another fire running and cooked bacon and eggs on the fire. It was delicious. Overall we had a great time and it was fun to spend a little time in the outdoors. Sorry for the lack of pictures. We forgot to get some around the campfire whoops.
