It turns out we chose correctly because the park wasn't that busy. This ended up being one of my favorite parks. The scenery is incredible! They even built a gigantic tree called the "Tree of Life". I halfway expected to see an iron rod leading to it, but instead found images of Simba and other Disney characters carved into it. It was amazing!
The whole park looks like a rain forest, Disney planted 2.5 million plants, and 100,000 trees. They also have tons of trails where you can walk around and see various animals. It reminds me of a zoo, but better.
My favorite ride at the animal kingdom was a ride called the Kilimanjaro safari. You hop into a jeep and a tour guide takes you through what looks exactly like an African savanna and you get to see animals up close. We saw lions, ostriches, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, crocodiles, hippos, zebras, cheetahs, flamingos, wart hogs, and way more all from the comfort of our jeep. Matt's favorite ride there was called Expedition Everest. It's a fun roller coaster similar to the Matterhorn at Disneyland.

We were feeling pretty energetic that day so we decided to check out Downtown Disney. We got some grub and then checked out the sites. It was fun just checking out the different souvenir stores that were around there. There was a lego store and tons of disney stores. It was pretty cool to see all the stuff.
